Must say having been part of the Edinburgh Fringe festival back in 2013 was quite the experience. All thanks to theatre company director, Victoria Baker of Two Thirds Theatre Company. The number of shows that were on and the sheer amount of people walking up and down the mile was rather overwhelming. Juggling between handing out fliers, rehearsing Rodney & Julie J and seeing other shows to network with other actors was very much enjoyable.

It defiantly brought me out of my comfort zone to some degree but it has defiantly helped me as an actor and an individual. If there's one thing I learned about acting after the fringe festival, it's very competitive. Looks like I have a lot of work to do to compete.

After the fringe festival there's been plenty of time on my hands to experience life in all it's shapes and sizes, what with me having no acting work at this time. There have been a number of ideas for stories and plays that pop into my head which have resulted from my dissertation research and from experiences in my life. That said there are a number of different stories I am working on while trying to find some work, acting or otherwise. More details when they develop.

Recently got back onto the stage after what seems to have been forever, but that made it all the more worth it. Jemma Kirton, a friend I met during my time at Newcastle College asked me if I was able to act in her BA Honours Directing project and I had roughly a week to learn the script. It's a good thing I finished my work placement when I did, or I'd not be able to commit to this. The show is done and was well received, the writer of the three plays was even impressed how it turned out. That was great to hear considering this was the first play they had ever seen. I'm glad I was part of that process.

Well, back to writing and applying for jobs.

6 Years later, and my life has drastically changed. Acting has been on hold but I have been learning new skills and experiencing new things through out my life these past few years. With out sounding crazy, I have rediscovered things about myself. Met some wonderful people and learned valuable life lessons from them and continue to do so. Goes to show no matter how old you are, you can always learn something new from someone.

Having worked in retail for roughly now near 3 years, you meet some interesting characters in that line of work. It's given me some ideas for more written pieces, to which I have not been putting on here, my apologies for that. I have intentions to work on my small projects on the side of my retail work. I will be working on a demo reel within the coming months to showcase my vocal skills.

In other news, I have taken a liking to working with craft foam to create props. Should I get around to working on film projects I will be able to apply this new skill of mine to that. It's been quite a fun hobby.

My creative spark has been reignited, and I aim to work more on it. I will aim to update this blog more as the months go by. And over all update the website accordingly.

I hope you are all well in what ever dreams you aim to achieve. Don't give up on them!

Recently worked on my Voice reel for voice acting, so far just the one themed on Fantasy based roles, but will be working on more in the future. Keeps me busy and it something to work on, and gets me to experiment with my vocal range once again.
